For tensioning, suspension and security Ibex make elasticated shock cord or bungee in a range of diameters from 2 mm to 40 mm in a range of materials and colours to suit customer needs. This range includes the famous ‘FLEXTEN’ brand of technical shock cords.

First quality multi stranded elastic natural rubber is used for the core with polyester, nylon and polypropylene used as standard sheathing.
British Standard shock cords are also manufactured with a rot proof cotton or Nomex© outer sheath to British Standard 3F70 or 3F71 both being high specification aerospace standards required for defence and aviation industries.

We offer single cover shock cords and also composite construction double cover in cotton, standard multifilament yarns and also monofilament polyethylene or polypropylene.

Special fibre covers in Nomex©, Dyneema©, aramid, Technora© or including wires are available to order.
