Ibex Ropes traditional shock cords have provided Quality solutions to the aviation industry.

We now bring a technical approach from our design team selecting materials combinations to match the requirements. 
The foundation of the technical shock cord range is British Standards BS 3F70:1991 Heavy duty braided cover with rubber core and BS 3F71:1991 Light duty braided with rubber core.
The Ibex skills were enhanced with the acquisition of Whitely Products Ltd in 1996 when the extensive Whitely shock cord development programme was absorbed into Ibex.

Light, medium and heavy duty technical shock cords from Ibex have been developed and proved over time with an expanding aviation industry constantly sourcing improved quality and performance.

Ibex capacity for assemblies to order means large or small batches can be produced effectively and quickly with parts form stock including type
British Standard 168 and 169 hook assemblies and the stainless steel types ‘A’ to ‘G’.

Technical shock cords are available to British Standards with braided covers in rot proofed cotton, polyester, nylon, and technical fibres such as Nomex©, Dyneema©, Kevlar©, Technora©, PBO© and others to order.
